I’m on year 3 and 1/2 of doing repairs now
and I recommend adding a GLUE gun to your list of options. I’m using it for all sorts of things and sometimes it lasts years and other times it fails but it’s certainly something to try.
Glued a pet proof screen into the sliding screen door to prevent the cat from ripping it out. Glued some washer fluid line that kept getting caught in my hood. Glued a trash can. Glued some wiring in a tailgate. Give it a try. It’s a last resort but it works for some things.
Some of the things I’ve done
- Built a 400W solar system to power my fish tank and recharge things (power stations, whatever)
- Changed the O2 Sensor in my Car
- Fence/Gate Repair
- Garage Repair (failed had to spend $250)
- Replaced Water Heater
- Replaced Dishwasher
- Toliet repair (wow!)
- This year:
- Built a whole electrical system for one project. Took 5 months but it seems to work. Looks like shit though.
- Changed Rear Differential fluid
- Changed PTU (power transfer unit) fluid
- Rewired a car lighting system
