Since 1994, I’ve never had a monitor die on me. Even when I put a whole stick of butter down inside the back portion of the CRT. Well FINALLY a monitor seems to have died. It’s a Samsung 3D monitor with 1680x (?) res. When the monitor is plugged in, the system knows it’s there and will even send things to it but it will NOT turn on at all. The light doesn’t light up as if it’s turning on. I have a 2nd copy of it, and that one is working fine. No idea if I can fix it but I’m guessing not. Now I’m short one monitor. I was getting all my monitors off the “for sale” chat group at my former work. I’m sure I could find similar on facebook or offer up.
