Introducing, Bandit, our 3rd cat

Our 3rd cat! We’ve wanted another cat (or tons) for years. We picked it up from a high kill shelter that is getting rid of upwards of 130 cats a month. They do this by not listing them on their website, flagging them as bad, not letting rescues save them, or even petsmart get them to save them. They’re horrible. City is Apple Valley, CA (east of Victorville).
They made me sign a special waver that it was a savage feral animal that might cause damage. Then it’s just a cute scared kitten. Give me a break.
So this cat had like literally 2 hours to live when I saved her. They wouldn’t let me save her until I threatened legal action or said use your phone to give me a virtual visit. They were requiring me to to visit (with 2 hours left and 3 hour drive) to adopt it. Then after I triggered them, they changed their tune and immediately sold me the cat and sent it to the vet for an additional $225 of services. Luckily they sent it today which was a holiday allowing me and my daughter to spend 5 hours of driving to get the cat.
So that’s how bad they want to kill these cats. They’re getting paid by the government to kill them and don’t even want to save them. Then at the vet, there was 6 cats outside in the cold behind the vet trying to survive. It’s a city of too many cats. Anyways.
We learned it’s a girl, they had no idea. Her name is BANDIT because of face markings.
It’s been 2 months now, and she’s warmed up to Catz, my son but runs from me quite a lot. She hates shoes or people walking.
