Got a Ninja SP351 Foodi Smart 13-in-1 Dual Heat Air Fry Countertop Oven

Wow. It reheated Pizza way the f better than the microwave. Totally recommended. We have no idea how to use this yet.

It flips up vertically but the con is that you have to pull out these 3 things inside when you want to use it. If you find storage for them then it’s fine. Does toast pretty well.

Personal Life

Personal Life

Since I have these woke nazi aholes on the hunt for me, I’ve been sharing less personal details and more high-level details. That’s the wake of cancel culture. Anyone is an idiot post-2015 for sharing ANY information about themselves via a webpage or social media. It adds nothing to your life and you only have something to lose for people knowing more about you publically. That even works that way for the stars as well. Some of my friends have ZERO online footprint now and that’s honestly the way to go. As I mentioned, they say NOTHING at work. Ever. haha. I’d love to just throw away my smartphone and switch to a classic pre-smartphone that just made calls.

These fuckers: people, government, and corporations are in everyone’s business trying to track or control every bit of our lives and if you cut them out of it and refuse to participate, they have no control over you whatsoever which is what the majority of Americans are doing. haha. Ignore all these fux and just enjoy your life. Go have your massive boat parade. F off.

However, in 2020+ they reached into our lives and shut down the businesses we shopped at or ate at. They raised our gas prices. They raised the prices of everything. They infected our workplaces with woke training. (admit your personal privilege!). They infected our schools with their politics. They f-ed up what is available in the grocery store. They jacked with the price of wood at the hardware store. They fucked up both new and used car prices. They (mostly cryptos) screwed up the graphics card market. They’re inserting their politics into our video games or going back and time and removing things we had already been playing for years. Pre-2020 you could be a clueless idiot and never look at politics or online nonsense and live a happy life, but now that seems really impossible. But we should try.

You CAN just put up with the high prices, complain about it, and hope Jesus does something about it. However, if you look at the bible, you saw that nothing was done to the Romans, so don’t expect much.

You guys gotta watch The IT Crowd (Netflix)

You guys gotta watch The IT Crowd (Netflix)

I have heard it before but I missed it apparently. It’s a UK show on Netflix (5 seasons). Wow, this show is funnier than MOST comedies. I’m dying. Totally recommended. You can tell that woke comedy makes a show like this no longer possible so you have to go back and watch something like this. It’s better than the UK office version even.

The comedy premiered on Channel 4 on 3 February 2006, and ran for four series of six episodes each. Although a fifth series was commissioned, it was not produced.[1] The programme was concluded with a special “farewell” episode that aired on 27 September 2013.[2][3][4][5] The programme was critically acclaimed and has a cult following.

I should have been a World War II Corsair pilot in the Pacific

I should have been a World War II Corsair pilot in the Pacific

I really think that was my calling but unfortunately I was 60 years too late. I’d be dead now, but I think I would have been awesome.  I would have had to be a marine. One of my cousins (female) is a marine.

Vought F4U Corsair

Corsairs were flown by the “Black Sheep” Squadron (VMF-214, led by Marine Major Gregory “Pappy” Boyington) in an area of the Solomon Islands called “The Slot“. Boyington was credited with 22 kills in F4Us (of 28 total, including six in an AVG P-40, although his score with the AVG has been disputed).[52] Other noted Corsair pilots of the period included VMF-124’s Kenneth Walsh, James E. Swett, Archie Donahue, and Bill “Casey” Case; VMF-215‘s Robert M. Hanson and Donald Aldrich; and VF-17‘s Tommy Blackburn, Roger Hedrick, and Ira Kepford. Nightfighter versions equipped Navy and Marine units afloat and ashore.

So

So

All these leaders wanted to expose people’s real names on the forums to make it like Facebook. I was like, no one wants that. If you wanted your real name shown, you’d put your posts on Facebook or some other place that exposes your name. Gamers like to create their own gaming names and use those and not be forced to use them.

Then imagine the female gamers who would be suddenly targeted when it was exposed they were female. Imagine that horror, especially 5-10 years ago.

Who the f wants to be doxed on the forums?

Sure there ARE forums that use real names, but they’re not especially common on gaming forums.

Of course, people thought I’m just a negative person and ignored me. This other girl that everyone hated also said the same thing and agreed with me. We were the two outsiders that knew it was a stupid idea.

Ignore the negative people, they’re always negative! ORRRRR

Then we were both vindicated in the end and no one gave us any credit for being right. We could have avoided a big scandal.

So

So

this cafe worker lady was dealing or had drugs. Then the police came to get her or something and the boyfriend who worked there came down. He started demanding to see the CEO. They said hey if you just leave, you’ll be fine. Nothing will happen to you. But he kept demanding it. So they arrested him too. haha.  Playing Ingress, looting portals sure got you a front-row seat at the entertainment.

Favorite Games of All Time

Favorite Games of All Time

My Gaming History

I began gaming in 1980. Some of the first systems I used were the Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Intellivision, Coleco Vision, and Apple IIe (the first computer I used because the school had one and I used it while I waited for my dad). I had received a Star Wars Collection with Millenium Falcon, At-at Walker, X-Wing, figures and I can’t remember. I sadly sold all that to a kid whose entire room was Star Wars where his mom said they’re only collecting one TOY. I hope he saved all that and sold it for bank later. But anyway, I sold it all for an Atari 2600 and a pack of games. I then played on for 1982-1986 until I had to make the first decision:

Sega Master (bastard) System OR NES?

You were either a Sega person or a Nintendo person and I was a Sega person. Everyone else was an NES person. I didn’t meet anyone who was a Sega person besides me. I bought the Sega Master system purely because of Rambo First Blood Part II. I picked based on the game and that game was similar to Ikari Warriors which is one of my favorite arcade games. The problem with Ikari Warriors was that it required a special joystick with a spinner at the top. That was impossible to replicate at home because no one made a joystick for only ONE game. But Rambo was the closet KNOCKOFF. The Sega Master system had way better graphics but other than a few games, way crappier games. But I missed out on some of the NES games. I did play/beat Legend of Zelda and Excite Bike was another favorite of mine.

You were either a Sega person or a Nintendo person and I was a Sega person.

I also had a chance to play a PONG machine which we regularly enjoyed.

Sega Genesis

My next upgrade was the Sega Genesis. I had saved for a year or two for $210 to buy it. I continued through high school until senior year where I finally got a Super NES for Street Fighter 2.

At that point, I moved to PC Gaming when I got my first computer in 1994. A 486 for $4500. I was still paying that LOAN on the computer until the 2010s. haha.  Once I got my computer, a coworker came over and loaded me up with warez. I had pirate everything: Warcraft 1, Doom 2, Myst (but hated it). I had bought a few games though such as Dark Forces or Tie-Fighter.

I did get into Play Station 2 games and XBOX360 games but otherwise skipped console.

I’m a non-mainstream gamer so I skip the Nintendo stuff mostly or Final Fantasy, etc.

TOP FAVORITE GAMES OF ALL TIME

  • NHL 94 – Genesis. Never found anyone that could beat me. Went to college and owned people.

  • Uncharted Waters (Super NES). This started my love of pirate games. This game was the absolute best. You could form fleets, trade, attack as pirates. RPG. You could also use REAL WORLD MAPS. So amazing. They made lots of sequels but mainly for Japan and I never found one I could enjoy (but might exist).
  • Doom 2 – Online Mulitplayer. I’d never play it again but that was my first online FPS and we had so much fun using custom maps and the Simpsons sound effects plugin.
  • Warcraft II – It was a complete fluke how that game turned out so well because of the awesome things were bugs or unfair map design. That magical combination of greatness never happened again (for Warcraft players). Many of the people that worked on that game disappeared after.

In the beginning, one of my favorite arcade games was APB (later made a revised game).

  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – 80s music, Ray Liotta acting. I also love MIAMI setting. The missions were incredible as well as the buildings you buy + missions associated with them. They also added a motorcycle
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – It’s hard to say what is better between the two but it had gang takeover areas + the thugg life.
  • Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline – So amazing and fun. Battlefield 1942 introduced vehicles to FPS. Rest of versions sucked.
  • Call of Duty 1,2, Modern Warfare 3, COD (2019) – The people creating the game left or were forced out after COD MW3 and then it started to blow because it wasn’t the original people making the sequels.
  • Sea of Thieves – Love it but it is always buggy or griefers ruining hours of work or lack of content until 2020. This was the 3D world of pirates that World of Warcraft was supposed to deliver but never did. It’s four years old now and has a ton of content.
  • Assassins Creed: Black Flag. Top 10 game for sure.
  • Fallout: New Vegas. I did every faction.
  • Commandos 2 : Very frustrating gameplay and lots of reloading saves but fucking amazing.
  • Counterstrike, year 2000 – Not the one that kids play 15-20 years later, the first YEAR of Counterstrike. I made most of my friends online during that year as I hosted a server. So much fun and that game defined all FPS games going forward.
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 (194.9 hours played)
  • Tie Fighter (PC)
  • Dark Forces (1-2)
  • Saint’s Row 2,3,4, etc
  • Rock Band 1-3, Rockband Green Day
  • Cyberpunk 2077. It’s amazing after they fixed the bugs.
  • DJ Hero 1-2. They shut down the store for more songs.
  • Deadpool – So funny
  • Mass Effect 2/3 (skipped 1)
  • Zelda Windwaker (because boats)

Honorable Mention

  • World of Warcraft – Enjoyable for the time we played it up until they killed the Garrisons.
  • GTA 1 – Started it all off. It was kind of a pain to play through. Rest of GTA except IV blew.
  • Bioshock 1-3, Infinite (114 hours)
  • Far Crys: Far Cry 3 (120 hours), Far Cry 4 (109 hours), Far Cry 5 (140 hours), New Dawn (16 hours), Primal (130 hours)
  • Call of Juraez Gunslinger (64 hours)
  • Mad Max (131 hours)
  • Max Payne 1-3
  • Tomb Raider 1-3 (the NEW 2013 versions and up): Tomb Raider (50 hours), Rise of the Tomb Raider (120 hours), Shadow of the Tomb Raider (113 hours)
  • Batman Games (2?)
  • LA Noire
  • Gods of War PS2/PS4/Handheld
  • Gran Turismo 2
  • Elder Scrolls: Morrowind (all brown), Oblivion
  • some Guitar Heroes

Unsure

  • Skyrim – I have 475 hours played but not sure if I enjoyed it
  • Fallout 4 – 251 hours played
  • Witcher 3 (172 hours)

Probably missed a lot of games.

AAA Game Studios and Sexual Harassment

AAA Game Studios and Sexual Harassment

Disclaimer: I, in no way, support or condone the sexual harassment behavior in the game industry.

Disclaimer: I myself experienced 4 pages of writing worth of sexual harassment by both men and women in the industry during my time there some of which impacted my career when I chose to not participate.

I’m explaining how things are based on my experience and knowledge which is way more than anyone posting news articles or twitter posts online typically.

I can make this post last forever or continue it in stages.

Game Industry = Hollywood = Music Industry

That’s what millennials and Gen Z don’t understand. They get into the game industry out of college and have zero history of the game industry or what they’re even joining. They think they are joining a regular corporation. They are like, hey I played some games at home I like and applied or joined a game company. Now I know everything! Game companies were always different, they were in line with Hollywood and the music industry because they are all ENTERTAINMENT COMPANIES.

Now let’s talk about sister entertainment groups:

Hollywood Sexual Abuse
120 years of the casting couch. Women were forced to sleep with men to succeed and negative relationships hurt or destroyed their careers. What’s always curious was that this is an OPEN SECRET. Everyone knows/knew including the industry, actors, and customers (US). Yet nothing was ever done until the #metoo movement where they finally spoke up. Look at how long that problem existed and still exists today. Plus the pedos in the industry has never been addressed that groom child actors.

Hollywood got away with it with FIXERS who cover this shit up with threats, deaths, bribes or by running people’s careers

A lot of these wankers are right back at it and still doing fine even after these revelations

Music Industry Sex & Drugs
What do we know about them? The bands sleep with groupies. Watch the 20+ movies about it (or books perhaps). In addition, the industry is plagued by drugs. Look at all the musicians that have died to drugs on a regular basis even in 2022. A friend went into that industry and they basically made him a drug runner for the band(s). He quit because he wanted to make music and produce music, not deal drugs. And he met lots of stars and famous bands along the way.

The music industry got away with it with FIXERS who cover this shit up with threats, deaths, bribes.

Back to Game Industry
The game industry was also modeled after those two. Game developers, especially famous ones (early on), are like rock stars/musicians and act in the exact same way. The more famous they are, the more they attract fans and sometimes engage in those relationships. Sex, drugs, rock & roll. I saw developers that had all of the same connections as the movie/musicians where they would meet and be friends with all of them because the movie stars/musicians were fans of the games. Everyone in the industry knew this and have known this until the last 5-10 years where magically it’s new information. The fans tried to sleep with the game developers. The game developers tried to sleep with the fans (or coworkers).

Does that excuse it? No. But they were never real corporations similar to other companies and that’s what attracted people to them. They offered an atmosphere that were unlike the regular boring corporate world. However, as they became infinitely profitable with billions now at stake, everything “cool” (and I don’t mean illegal or wrong behavior) about the game industry died and now they’re just regular corporations (more on that later). Now people are trying to look at the game companies through a lens of the last 5 years and apply it to 1980 – 2015 which doesn’t work at all. You can try to fix or clean up the industry now and that’s perfectly OK but you can’t magically undo the last 20 years of how it was before.

Now some people might not like this paragraph or misconstrue what I’m saying but: the theoretical best defense was to never work in that industry, to begin with knowing that is how it was. That of course kills the dream of making games, but joining an industry with these problems opens you up to regular attacks. I saw many times where a single female would be on a team of upwards of 100 people and imagine the shit she had to go through. If you’re a female joining that, your defenses had to be up all the time.  Does that mean women shouldn’t work in the game industry? Of course not. But if you look at the numbers, it’s never 50% even if they go out of the way to hire mainly female employees. We’ll see how things go in the next 5-10 years. Maybe they can clean things up.  Some are saying remote work is a great defense. But even the dudes got sexually harassed as I mentioned. 4+ that I know of.

This article could be much better if I exposed all the stories I saw but I’m not at that point.

The reason you are seeing or saw all this sexual harassment at game studios is because they think they are rockstars. They live rockstar lives of:

  • Alcohol
  • Rampant Non-Perscription Drug Use (one person said “if there was a drug test, everyone would be fired”). Off-site meetings would devolve into pro drug discussions.
  • Strip clubs (was pressured to go there quite a bit)
  • Banging cosplay people, banging fans, banging coworkers, banging everyone
  • Fancy Cars
  • Fancy Houses on the beach
  • Vacations
  • Off-site events in Hawaii, Bahamas
  • Limos
  • Party Buses
  • Best Hotel Suites connected Hotel Suites
  • Executive Assistants
  • Personal Bands

They are living the lives that movies idolize.

The 1990s were game developers and their Ferraris and Lambos.

I CHOSE TO NEVER PARTICIPATE – I had plenty of opportunities to advance my career or participate in the rock & roll nonsense but I actively decided to avoid it all and just go to work and avoid all of this. People saw that as a negative and it hurt my career. As far as reporting it, everyone knew this stuff was going on and no one did anything about it in my opinion. I myself reported a bunch of stuff to a company lawyer and one of the presidents.

Fact that people miss; the Rock Stars are the ones that made the good games. If you cancel them, you get shitty games. haha.  And you’ve certainly seen that in the last 5 years haven’t you?

There’s an old line: Don’t ask who cooks your food. As long as your food / game are great, don’t look into whose creating it.

GAME INDUSTRY HIRING PROBLEM
I worked in career/hiring for 20 years. You know the gamers that are on twitch/FPS spamming hateful stuff with ZERO filter at all? That’s who they often hire. They have no experience working in a corporate environment knowing what is right or wrong or how to behave. There’s ZERO training for that. You’re just expected to know that when you join. But who knows, maybe these kids parents left them alone in their room for 5 years and never taught them. When the internet 1994-1998 was cultured college graduates, the behavior was more civilized.  So these people join a game company and do crazy as shit @ work.

  • This one guy joins. He decides he likes a girl. But the girl liked someone else and they were dating. The first crazy guy found out, then lures the 2nd guy off-site then sucker punches him in the face for “stealing his girl.” when the girl was in no way interested in him in the first place. When questioned, he said that he would DO IT AGAIN. He of course was fired. But this deranged person was hired having no idea how to act in the civilized work world.
  • Another guy joins, runs past me, sits in a seat I was walking to and then starts laughing like “hah hah I stole your seat.” This is on the FIRST DAY.  How old is this guy? He was asked to give a speech to introduce himself where 999/1000 people gave a nice speech about honored to work there, etc. This guy instead talks about how awesome he was and how rich he was with ACTUAL numbers to brag to everyone. “Then why are you working here?”

I’ve got plenty of other examples. There needs to be a better filtering process for weeding these people out.

I can explain the situation and people can imagine I’m defending it, but yet again I’m not. At least now with all the articles on sexual harassment suits and settlements etc, fans/customers/game players/potential game company employees can now at least read about the shit they might experience if they choose to work there. The worst one I saw was a leader (elsewhere) was going around punching people in the nuts, even in the post-2015 world. Completely insane. Another sample story was a producer and an employee were having sex regularly after work in the conference room, then people the next day would go in there and have meetings in there unbeknownst to everyone. Imagine sitting on that couch. Who knows if they cleaned it.

The industry could certainly become better and *I* believe that Christianity could play a big part in making that happen but the industry isn’t full of Christians in my experience. Quite the opposite. What’s lacking is any kind of morals for starters.

So my point is, there were plenty of opportunities for people to know what they were getting into and not be surprised by it.  There’s a big problem with the POST 2000 generation where they don’t give any shit about history but history is VERY IMPORTANT.

HOWEVER, none of this behavior is legal @ a corporation, especially those in California.

They got away with it for decades but now the internet and legal people are catching up and making the game industry like any other corporation.

The reason they skated for so long is the company HR always did damage control and covered things up. The people didn’t go externally by suing or to the media, or state because they wanted to keep working in the game industry, and doing so would end their careers (just like with Hollywood / Music).

Skills I’m missing

Skills I’m missing

I think I’m pretty good at a bunch of random things but some skills that I wish I would have woulda pumped my $ up by like $40k a year:

  • Creative Writing – I just stare at a page and I have zero creativity. I ramble around. It’s pretty hard coming up with 2000 words. I’m very cliche.
  • Graphical Skills – You’d think 25+ years I could do a ton in photoshop but I can just do the basics and it’s similar to the creative writing issue where I have zero creativity in creating anything.
  • Marketing – The last company I was at didn’t have a lot of marketing integration so I didn’t learn anything. I had checked the local college for marketing classes and they didn’t offer much either. I’d have a ton more job opportunities available if I had some marketing training. I’ve never been a fan of marketing though and often seen them as the enemy, people just trying to con you into buying things that don’t work. haha. However, when you go anywhere else, the jobs I did were often in Marketing.

We all have strengths and weaknesses and while I believe some things can be learned some things can’t be learned. Who knows. I’m open to trying.

Car Stereo: Alpine

Car Stereo: Alpine

My old post got nuked. So after 2 years of waiting for some amp cable to show up, it finally showed up on ebay. That cable will allow me to connect my head unit to my two amps and control them through the head unit. But that connection is already sharing with a cable that connects up to my phone to run my phone/mp3s through the stereo.

But then to my horror, I discovered/remembered that I still also need THIS  extra AUX unit which is running about $200 on eBay. One seller is in Russia, I was thinking geez would he even be able to ship it at this point? Is he embargoed? haha.

The head unit only has one output for everything including a phone/Mp3, disc changers, amps, etc. This box lets you plug in a bunch of things. I keep thinking how about a CD Changer. But man it’s 2022 and those are from the mid 1990s. haha. What would still work though is 6 discs of Mp3s. The CD changers are about $130. Pretty dumb to buy them at this point but I just loved them.

Apparently there’s a club for one of the units 7909 and it goes for $4000+

I’m recreating a stereo that was available in 2005 or so. Pointlessly, but it’s been a dream of mine since like 1991 to have a good Alpine Stereo. I put the head unit in with no other mods in 2005 but it sounded like garbage. Then in 2020 I built an awesome stereo around it.

My head unit is apparently still worth something because it’s so rare. But it’s not reading discs really well. I can’t imagine a CD player not playing discs properly 17 years later. I need the thing cleaned somehow.

10″ Alpine Sub

6.5 mid-range sub I put under the passenger using the default premium sound box

4 channel and mono sub. Like 900 watts+

Put tweeters there using silicon

Two extra speakers in the back window because they wouldn’t fit into the back doors. So 4 back speakers.
